Leiarmach Sofia is a renown manufacturer of grey cast iron and nodular cast iron.
The yearly production capacity is 5000 tons of castings for bodies, columns, boxes, washers for machine tools, compressors, pumps,
cranes, etc. The maximum weight of castings is up to 8000 kg.
The production activities comprise:
- Moulding: furan "No bake", consolidated masses, turbo mixer "EKO" 30 t/h, turbo mixer "IMF" 30 t/h, mixer "Fordath"
10 t/h,
mechanized line, flasks 1800 x 1500 mm, zircon and graphite paints, quartz and chromite sands; - Cores: furan "No bake", 3 turbo
mixers 4 t/h, mechanized roller lines, stands for painting;
- Recovering of the sand: mechanical set "Klein" - 20 t/h, chill - up to
27 °C, dedusting - dry filter, automatic and pneumatic transportation of new and old sand;
- Melting of the metal: induction
furnace "Radyne" 5000 kg, 500 Hz, induction furnace "AEG" 600 kg, 1000 Hz, hot air cupola with recuperator "Striko" 8 t/h;
- Production of cast iron: grey cast iron EN-GJL-200 to EN-GJL-350 EN 1561, nodular cast iron EN-GJS 400-15, 500-7, 600-3, 700-2,
EN 1563;
- Cleaning of the castings: shot blast chamber "Codjeim" Ø 3200 x 4500 mm, 5 turbines, 80 m/sec, chambers for slight
cleaning, priming of the castings;
- Heat treatment: high tempering to 950 °C, low tempering to 600 °C;
- Methods and means
of testing: wet chemical laboratory, vacuum spectrometer "Spectrolab" - 12 elements, compact and optical measurements of the
temperatures of the metal, laboratory for mechanic testing of strength and hardness, metallography laboratory, structural microanalysis,
laboratory for sands and forming materials, stands for checking of the dimensions of castings and patterns;
- Patterns workshop:
foundry patterns of wood, metal, plastics, computer, program "Solidworks";
- Engineering: engineering construction: from the designing
of the pattern to the complete production operations, full range of technological documentation, equipment, individual orders for
machines and foundry equipment;
- Machining: rough machining, universal planer - type milling machines, cooperation undertakings for
precise machining of CNC machine tools;
- Quality management: ISO 9001 requirements are in the process of inculcating.
