Fimes belongs to the Mesit Holding a.s, which associates the range of companies engaged in manufacture of aeronautical devices, devices for radio communication, measuring instruments and computer devices, printed wiring and portable machinery parts for more then 40 years.

FIMES a.s. has a full legal subjectivity and it employs about 160 workers in its two manufacturing plants - tool-making workshop (60 employees) and foundry. The company is located in the district town Uherske Hradiste in the south-east Moravia, 75 km far from Brno, 300 km far from Prague and about 170 km far from Vienna.


We would like to offer you co-operation with our foundry, which follows the long standing experience of accurate castings foundry of MESIT a.s. in Uherske Hradisti. Our accurate castings have their steady position in such branches of industry as aviation, electrical engineering, medical technology, optical appliances, transport technology, agricultural technology and many others. We supply over 50 consumers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France with our castings. We have a team of experienced workers for both technical preparation of our production and securing of high-quality production. In our activities we introduce the quality control according to the standards of ISO 9002.

We use three different technologies of accurate casting:
  • Pattern-smelting method of aluminium, copper and steel alloys casting;
  • Aluminium alloys gravity mould-casting;
  • Aluminium alloys die-casting.
The weight range of castings produced is from 1 g to 5 kg. The usual accuracy of our castings is in compliance with ESN 014470.1. Depending on the casting construction type we are able to produce castings with face-thickness from 1,8 mm. We provide production series ranging 10 up to 100 000 pieces. Our delivery terms, depending on the complexity of the casting, are from 2 to 10 weeks.

We can offer you a technical and economical analysis of your requests, a technological suggestion, processing of the constructional casting design according to a supplied sample or sketch, and construction and production of moulds.


The production plan of tool-making workshop consists of moulds for plastics treatment, moulds for metal casting, stamping machines for plate treatment, different kinds of jigs and gauges mainly. The size of our products is limited by technological possibilities of our manufacturing machinery - in practice about 500 x 400 mm.

The tool-making plant is fully equipped with devices and machinery needed. We use automated CAD systems Unigraphics r.16 and AutoCAD r.14 for preliminary technological works. We are connected to Internet and we use the possibility of fax - modem data transmission.

Except of all standard machine tools we have at our disposal:
  • Machine - tool centres Cincinnati Milacron Sabre 750 and Arrow 500;
  • Elektroerosion machines Dieter–Hansen 450, Zimmer–Kreim 850, Agie DEM 315,
    Charmilles 290 and 35;
  • Coordinal drilling machines;
  • Heat treatment.
Only some rare technological operations (special hardening, nitriding, hard chrome plating) are provided in co-operation with specialised companies.

We devote permanent care to quality assurance of all processes and to factory organisation improvement. The whole our joint - stock company has the certified quality system according to EN ISO 9002 from April 1998.

Except of inland companies we have important customers in Germany, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Austria and France.
