The foundry activities of Metaz a.s comprise the production of steel and aluminum castings. The steel foundry is concentrated in production of special alloys castings: carbon steel (low-middle-alloyed steel), abrasion-resistant steel, corrosion-resistant steel, high-alloyed steel, heat-resistant-firm steel - Inconel alloys, steel for permanent magnets and grey alloys Nirezit. The castings are manufactured mainly into the sand molds either in machine or in hand molding. The capacity of furnaces from 100 kg up to 2200 kg of molten metal enables the casting even minimal quantity and capacity of production assortment. The aluminum foundry produces castings made of different alloys: AlSi10MgMn, AlSi10CuMn, AlSi10Mg(Cu), AlSi9Cu3, AlSi12Mn, etc. The used technologies are sand molding, gravitational pouring in metal molds and low-pressure die casting. The capacity of the aluminum foundry is approximately 3000 t/yearly. The products of the company are used in automobile, electro-technical and aircraft industry, agricultural techniques, etc. The products are exported to Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland and Slovakia.
