Established in 1986, in Mombasa - Kenya, Steelmakers Limited is one of the leading manufacturers, suppliers and exporters of hot rolled steel products, high alloy steel casting products, all types of nuts and bolts, fibre bearing and galvanized products. The Steelmakers subsidiaries include Athi River and Mazeras Plants. The Mazeras Metallurgical Plant operations consist of the following divisions - Smelting, Rolling Mill, Press Shop and Fabrication, Foundry, Fastener, Fibre Bearing and Oxygen Plant. The primary purpose of the Foundry is to support the company’s Steel Plant and Rolling Mills with their requirements for spares and consumables. As part of the company’s overall objective of serving a wider market with quality finished products and services, the Foundry Division can supply all types of grey iron casting and special steel casting, manhole covers, coupling spares, brake blocks for railways, and cast parts for any appliances as per customer specifications.
