The company "Krasainie Lejumi" ("Non-Ferrous Castings") - Riga is founded in the beginning of the XIX century. The enterprise produces castings of technical dedication (casings, rotors, pump housings, etc.) and goods for domestic consumption (aluminium cookers, frying pans, garlic mashers, hammers for meat tenderizing, etc.). In recent years the enterprise has coped with the manufacturing of various kinds of illuminating lanterns, produced garden and park benches, flag holders and other products for the municipal infrastructure. The company produces aluminium alloys for the motor-car industry and exports about 95% of the output for German concerns Volkswagen and BMW as well as many European and American companies.
