Smeltech Carbons started as a graphite mining company in 1936 (Under "The Patna Estate Super Graphite Products") and by 1950 started our own graphite crucible unit. In 1960 we started the production of Silicon Carbide Crucibles for the first time in India, where we were focusing on the crucibles for Cast Iron Melting only. Foreseeing the demand for Non Ferrous melting foundries, in the year 2000, with the introduction of the most advanced technology and our R&D, we launched our "MIRACLE" brand silicon carbide crucible. "MIRACLE" silicon carbide crucibles are of high quality, and owing to their consistent life are being preferred to be used after once used. Smeltech Carbons provides separate crucibles for melting of all kinds of Non Ferrous metals and separately for Cast Iron melting / Gold recovery process from sand waste. We also specialize in offering specially shaped refractories in Graphite and Silicon Carbide to customer Drawings for a wide range of applications, wherever there is molten metal and there is a need to handle it, in view to its non-wetting properties.
