Founded in 1997, "SP Minerals" is a Finnish supplier of selected premium minerals. The company is a subsidiary of "Sibelco Scandinavia AB", a member of the Belgian "S.C.R.-Sibelco-Group". "SP Minerals" supplies foundries with: sand and bentonite for moulds, Finmix-silica refractory mixes for induction furnaces. "Finmix" is the name of the Finnish made, dry silica ramming mix for coreless induction furnace lining installations. Material consumption is 2.15-2.20 tons per 1 m³ of rammed lining. By adding an appropriate amount of binding agent, the required refractory properties for various applications, such as: steel alloys, cast iron, copper alloys etc. - are achieved. The company applies the certified quality system in accordance with ISO 9002.
