The US Silica Corporate Lab provides technical expertise, analytical testing resources and application development to promote product value and cost savings. The lab consists
of four departments:- Foundry Lab: Fully equipped lab for testing foundry sand and including analysis of grain size pH, ADV, turbidity, clay, tensile strength as well
as a complete green sand testing program.
- Paint / Coatings Lab: Formulation, application and testing of paints, coatings and grouts for fillers / extenders and building products end uses.
- Analytical Lab: Elemental (oxide) analysis by ICP, X-Ray diffraction or GC and LOI determination.
- Mineral Processing Lab: From mine to final product, our lab is able to model plant
production processes to test variation in our deposits, and improve our ability to meet customer requirements.
