The successful adopting of technologies for producing of castings of high strength aluminum alloys based on the system Al-Cu-Mn requires studying and solving of some problems related to their unfavorable casting properties. This could be referred especially to their susceptibility to hot crack building. In the present work the resistance of AlCu6MnCrTiZr-alloy to crack building depending on the content of the basic alloying component Cu is studied. The results could find application in the production of castings of this alloy.
