AIM is a non-profit, non governamental cultural organization, devoted to gathering and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of metals and structural materials. AIM prime function is to permit the exchange of scientific knowledge in the field of metals, both at national and international level. This is accomplished through publications, conferences, meetings and the interrelation with cooperating sister societies throughout the world. As a part of its effort to link the international science and engineering community and provide access to worldwide materials information, AIM has established open lines of technological transfer and mutual cooperation with several international materials societies. AIM helps members to develop and to update their scientific and technical knowledge.
